Happy 2026!

Hello friends!

Now that the holidays have (mostly) settled and the year has stretched its legs a bit, I wanted to check in and say thank you again for helping bring this book into the world. Seeing it land in your hands has been the quiet magic of my winter so far.

If you’ve had a chance to spend some time with Anira, I’d be deeply grateful if you’d consider leaving a review on Goodreads or Storygraph. A few honest words go a long way. They help curious future readers find it in a really big way, and they genuinely mean a lot to me as an artist who made this with care, passion, and so much intention.

No pressure at all. If the book is still waiting patiently on your nightstand, it’ll keep. But if it’s spoken to you in any way, even softly, your voice adds to its life beyond my studio.

All the best,

-Naomi

Shipping in Full Swing!
7 months ago – Wed, Sep 10, 2025 at 10:46:20 AM

Hello from the box fort I’ve built over the last few weeks!

We are in peak shipping mode right now, and I’m thrilled to let you know that about 195 orders have already been packed and shipped as of yesterday. You should start seeing tracking emails land in your inbox very soon from BackerKit (if they haven’t already!).

Today and tomorrow, I’m tackling the more complex bundles—orders with multiple items, signing special edition books, special rewards, and international shipments. I’m also prepping a big batch for my European distributor in Austria, so those of you across the pond will be getting your treasures soon too.

In the meantime, I wanted to share a few behind-the-scenes photos from the past week—it’s been equal parts chaotic and magical.

More soon, and thank you again for being part of this journey!

Locking Orders This Week!
8 months ago – Mon, Aug 04, 2025 at 10:01:53 AM

Hi Friends!

Just a very short update from the Denver Airport on my way back from Gen Con—My printer has informed me that the books are due in port this Friday which means we're getting closer and closer to fulfillment.

That means I'll be locking addresses and charging cards for additional purchases this week in preparation for shipping!

Thanks again and I can't wait to get these into your hands!

Book Arrival Update + Final Sample In-Hand!
8 months ago – Wed, Jul 16, 2025 at 08:48:49 PM

Hi Backers,

Just popping in with a shipping and production update!

Right now, the books are on track to arrive at the Oakland port around the second week of August! I don’t have an exact date yet for when they’ll be unloaded and trucked up to me here in Northern California (about 4–5 hours away), but I’m estimating it’ll take a few weeks from that point before I can start fulfilling orders.

In the meantime… something exciting arrived in the studio:

✨ The final sample copy of Anira and the Spirit of Magic is here—and it’s absolutely beautiful. Even more than I expected. (I'll include photos below!) It’s printed on the same premium paper as Naiya and the Foxdragon and it really makes the artwork shine.

If you're a current backer and are still thinking about grabbing the Limited Edition hardcover, I’ve kept that tier open just a little longer. Feel free to upgrade through BackerKit if you’ve had a change of heart. No pressure at all—just wanted to mention it quietly here that it was even a possibility.

In other news: While cleaning and prepping the studio for shipping, I unearthed a small stash of the Naiya Worldbuilding Booklets! These have been added to BackerKit as well, in case you'd like to add one to your order before I lock addresses next month.

Surveys

Speaking of addresses, thank you so very much for completing your survey! It's helped me prepare so well for Kickstarter shipping. I appreciate it so much!

And that's all for now. As always, thank you so much for your support, patience, and excitement. I’ll share another update once I return from Comic Con and Gen Con and get more solid timing on the book delivery!

Warmly,
-Naomi
